• Again, please note that this class is not at our normal Ripley-Grier location, instead it will hosted at the nearby 520 8th Ave location, in room 16D.
  
• Open floor means that there will be no official class plan; instead we will be providing a space for folks to come and spar/gekken, or practice in a supervised environment. 
• Students are encouraged to come prepared with questions or things they want to work on.
• This is a great opportunity to explore other systems and/or weapons! Please contact our instructors if there are any particular subject(s) of interest.

Class Notes: Underhand Ward

This module examines the application of Versetzen using a häwen to the Läger of Stier. Beginning with the posture of Mittelhut, and expanding to other Läger, students will learn how to defend themselves from a variety of attacks using Stier as well as the appropriate nachschlag work.

Newer students will be introduced to the foundational techniques, and senior students will work on details of timing and footwork.

Class Notes: Displacement with the Armored Hand

 This module covers the use of the off-hand to add support to your displacements/parries, and the Woven Thrust as riposte.
