LED-Saber Update
A bittersweet announcement: LED saber classes will be on hiatus starting in September. TA reminder that **Saturday, August 26th** will be the last LED saber class for a while. We've had a great run, but now it's time to make way for other programming and give those poor sabers a break for the big event Kat wants to plan for the spring.
For the month of September the 11:30 AM slot will be occupied by "Guided Solo Practice". In October we are planning a new Sword-Fitness class, more details TBD!
Thanks so much to those of you who have come to class! It has been really fun to work on glowstick fencing with you.
New Class: Guided Solo Practice
For the month of September we'll be holding an hour, of Guided Solo Practice on Saturdays at 11:30 AM. This period is an unstructured time for student-led practice, supervised and optionally guided by an instructor. This time may be used for:
- Solo practice of previously learned materials from any class
- Requesting feedback on how to improve techniques and body mechanics
- Supervised, self-led paired drilling (with appropriate safety gear)
No sparring or uncooperative paired drilling. Open Floor sessions are available for that type of practice.
For cooperative paired drilling, consider making arrangements with a training partner ahead of class time.
